Garden Pilates Anyone??
Taking Your Pilates Outdoors
It's spring time folks and the sun is shinning, well today anyway.
So why not take your mat outside and do a little Pilates, Yoga, Stretching or maybe just meditating. When the sun is shinning and the blossom tree is in full bloom I like nothing more than taking my mat under the tree.
It can be tough to find the motivation to exercise especially alone and not in the security of a booked class but mixing locations up like using the garden can make it a real pleasure.
There are so many easy to do great matwork Pilates exercises you can do alone without any equipment. I often take my iPad with YouTube loaded for inspiration.
Remember try and flex the spine in all directions - Forward Flex, Extension/Back Bends, Side Flexion and Rotation.
I often add in some Yoga Flows and stretching then a few minutes just breathing and taking in my surroundings.
The Garden really makes exercise a Joy!
